Background in movement and instruction: “My movement journey really started at age 11 when I became a competitive cheerleader. I cheered on and off for nearly fifteen years and competed at the Cheerleading Worlds twice, making it to the finals both times. While I loved the years I spent flipping, flying and tossing, the intensity and ultra high-impact nature of the sport took it’s toll on my body. Several concussions, sprained ankles, black eyes, broken toes, and a sprained back later, I eventually decided to hang up my uniform.

In 2020, I began working with Katie and Taren and fell in love with Pilates and with the ALL Method. The mindful, intentional connection between mind and body was exactly what I needed after years of pushing through pain and ignoring what my body needed. Mindful movement has completely changed my life, and one of my biggest joys today is helping others to feel that shift too.”

Biggest transformational moment of the last year: “At risk of sounding like I’m pandering… Becoming a Pilates instructor! Even when I decided to get certified, I didn’t expect to love teaching as much as I do. It’s something I never thought I would do, but has now become something I can’t live without.”

Favourite song to move to: I will quite literally work out to anything: from Pop to Rap, to a podcast or audiobook, but lately my go-to for Pilates has been Labrinth and Charlotte Cardin.
